This is a very simple and easy dish to make. Takes less time and makes a good snack. Made with ingredients mostly availabe at home, it is quite filling as well.
It is crispy on the outside and soft and goey with cheese on the inside.
A must try for all vegetarians.
Ingredients
- Rava (Semolina) - 1/2cup (around 100grams)
- Boiled Grated Potato- 1 cup
- Mint leaves - Chopped
- Capsicum-1/4 cup (chopped)
- Cheese cubes - diced into small pieces
- Cumin powder- 1/2tsp
- Coriander powder -1/2tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Oil - for shallow frying
Method
- Take a pan and pour some water into it, around 1 cup and put on medium low heat. Add a 1tsp oil to the water. Let the water come to a boil.
- Once the water has dried up. Switch off the flame. Bring out the rava (semolina) and let it cool.
- Fry until all is done. It should have a nice golden colour to it. I managed to make around 8 cutlets from the mixture. You can adjust the size of your cutlets as you wish.
Notes.
- You can add butter or ghee to the mixture to add more taste.
- You can had chilly powder or chopped green chillies to it.
- If you dont like cheese you can add grated coconut to the mixture also.
- While shaping the cutlets wet your palm with a little water, this will ensure that the mixture will not stick to your palms and shaping will be become easier.
