The No Bake Cake made with the simplest ingredients which are readily available.
Ingredients:
Digestive biscuits :250grms
Almonds: 75grms (chopped)
For the syrup:
Cocoa powder: 3tbsp
Butter:2tbsp
Caster Sugar:1/2 cup
Full fat milk: 1cup
Vanilla essence:1tsp
Chocolate ganache:
Chocolate: 1/2 cup
Milk:3tbsp
Method
Break the biscuits into small pieces and keep aside.
Add the chopped almonds to it. Now for the syrup take a bowl mix the cocoa powder and caster sugar. Now take a pan pour the mixture in it ,add milk and butter to it. Mix a bit. Now put it on medium heat ,stirring often until the mixture thickens. (You will know it is done when the syrup coats the back of the spoon once dipped.) Set aside. Let it cool.
Once it is cool pour the syrup over the biscuits in parts. Mix using a spatula making sure the biscuits are well coated.
Now take a cake pan and line it with parchment paper. Pour the biscuit mixture in it . Press down the mixture to level it. Cover and refrigerate it for atleast 1 to 2 hours.
For the chocolate ganache melt some chocolate on a double boiler and add milk to it. Stir until it is lump free and smooth. Set aside to cool.
After 2 hours demould the cake and pour the ganache over it. Garnish as desired. I have used soaked almonds slivers for garnishing.
