Introduction to Cooking

Food is a necessity, some eat to live and some live to eat,to some food is love,to another food is comforting and to others food is a form of eating the stress away. But to make this food we need to cook.
Whoever said "cooking is an art" has rightfully said it. Real food needs real cooking and thats what Im passionate about and love experimenting with.
Yes I agree it takes a lot  of hardwork, it is mentally stressful, it requires skills, knowledge of ingredients ,timing and patience but the end result always makes me happy. Even after an entirely stressful and weary day I still would like to cook something to make myself feel better because that is  something which is under my control. Something which I can execute my way.

Cooking should come straight from the heart because thats where the magic lies and it makes all the difference in the taste and presentation of the dish.

I started cooking from a young age. I have learnt mostly from my mother by observing her and practising it over the time. But slowly and gradually once you gain the knowledge and idea of how all of this works ,your mind kind of  start implementing those things without any further assistance. You start to invent , experiment and re-invent new techniques and ideas while cooking. It is safe to say that cooking is my top most stress buster.

My first cooking memory is that of making plain boiled rice. Let me tell you if that boiling rice doesnt get the deserved attention it can go all mushy ,sticky and might get burnt too. And no one likes burnt food we all know that. But I managed pretty well and it was fine.

Call it sheer luck or genuine interest and attention in cooking but later on in my life whichever dishes I have cooked so far, have always turned out to be delicious and perfect on the first try! So if you really love something dont give up yet, rather give it your all.
When you cook and feed someone, you not only give yourself some happiness but you also make others a part of your happiness.
